My mom called me this morning to wish me a happy birthday…

“Did you stay home to enjoy the day? Are you taking it easy?”

I didn’t even bother to stifle the laugh. I enjoyed a big, fat guffaw (itis my birthday, after all).

“No, Mom. I’m at work. But I came into the office and there were balloons! There was also a tasty, delicious slice of cake waiting for me. I can’t complain too much. Besides, it’s OnWired. So, it’s all good.”

Project management waits for no man…or woman, as the case may be. And neither does each of the other 10 million tasks that need doing at work on a Monday morning. And even though I did say a few choice words to my alarm clock this morning, it wasn’t because of having to go to work, but rather the typical early morning fuss and fight against routine responsibility.

Coming to work, coming to OnWired to work, is a pleasure – whether it’s a Monday or a Friday, or my birthday. It doesn’t matter, because it’s a great place to work: great people, great vision and great opportunity to impact online development is a positive way!

Happiness at work.

It’s odd to think that it can really exist. But it does.
I have it at OnWired.

Why? How?

Because I like what I do – and I know that I make a positive difference in the areas I can influence. I also like the people I work with: my Boss, my co-workers and my clients. There’s great communication and the desire from the entire team to do our best and provide a great end-product that everyone can be happy with and proud of.

So yea, it’s Monday – and it’s my birthday – and I actually looked forward to going to work today.
