During this weekend, Fortnite: Battle Royale hosts a special event – Astronomical, the premiere of the new track by rapper Travis Scott. The event turned out to be extremely popular: thanks to him, the royal battle broke its own record for the number of players.
According to the game portal Hermitgamer, during a concert in Fortnite there were over 12.3 million users – the highest figure in the history of the game. According to analysts, in February 2019, at a performance by DJ Marshmello, 10.7 million gamers entered the royal battle, and the peak value outside the events was 8.3 million.
Hermit assures that events of a similar magnitude in Fortnite did not happen before. The recordings really look epic: an entire musical planet comes close to the island, then a huge Travis Scott appears at the location, begins to play a new track, periodically teleports from place to place and throws viewers into the air.
Travis Scott’s Fortnite schedule is here. For attending a concert, completing trials, and shopping at an in-game store, special items are issued based on Astronomical.
