Tony started out his career as a starving tech support rep for Dialog, a Thomson business, at their Mountain View, CA headquarters. Given the choice between a pink slip or moving to the opposite side of the continent, Tony decided to keep his job and head east to Dialog’s new Cary, NC office. He was, after all, in the hunt for a new home and it just wasn’t happening in the inflated housing industry of San Jose.
Under the guise of “tech support”, Tony started learning HTML and quickly shifted to the role of web designer. As part of a huge corporate rebranding effort, he was responsible for redesigning the interfaces of a number of Dialog’s web-based products.
Like many other companies, Dialog found itself in a financial slump after 9-11. With rumors of layoffs filling the air once again, Tony decided to put his newfound web design skills to work and create a little job security for himself. In late 2001, OnWired was founded. Since then, Tony has grown OnWired into one of the premier web design firms in the Raleigh-Durham area.
When his eyes aren’t busy scanning online information about lofty acronyms such as SEO, PPC, AJAX, and CSS, they are fixed on more important things: Pittsburgh Steelers Football games, his wife, and his 2.0 kids.
Wait — There’s More
