Patrick Clarke, Web Developer
Despite being born in the US, you’d think Patrick comes to us from America’s hat, otherwise known as Canada. He has a true love for all things native to our northern neighbor: universal healthcare, maple syrup, Alex Trebek, and — you guessed it — hockey. Given his affinity for the frozen north, Patrick prefers the cold, and he can often be found refereeing hockey matches at one of Raleigh’s rinks.
After some time in Vegas (which was far too hot for him), Patrick moved on to Syracuse, then Charlotte, Raleigh, Detroit, St. Petersburg, and then back to Raleigh again, where he successfully managed a team of 80+ to produce NC State’s award-winning “Technician” newspaper. In his spare time, he failed numerous attempts at learning to play the guitar, read every spoiler he could find for the next Batman movie, and became an expert in the greatest content management system on the planet: ExpressionEngine.
When asked about his life, Patrick says it is like a TV series that is only on the air for one season but then becomes a cult hit when released on DVD. Twin Peaks, Sports Night, Dead Like Me, and Firefly are some of the greatest shows of all time, so at least the complete 6-disk set documenting Patrick’s life will be in good company.
