I’m out of bed and dressed. What more do you want?
When Tony and Jon were checking out some new office space, they found Nathan just hanging out enjoying a nice cup of freshly brewed free-trade coffee in the empty suite. They weren’t really sure where he came from or what he was doing there, but they needed some help, so they sat him down in front of a spare computer. That’s when the magic started. They were amazed at what this guy could do.
It turned out that between jobs cooking up sweet organic goodness at Whole Foods and teaching physics at Kaplan Test Prep, Nathan had been toying around with web design and development freelance-style on behalf of several top-secret international governmental agencies since 1999. He knew all about CSS box model issues in various browsers and could speak 7 languages. He could wrangle PHP into submission. He talked on and on about best practices and, if prompted, would talk your ear off about whose work has most influenced the web’s contemporary evolution.
Needless to say, Nathan was exactly what the growing OnWired team needed, so Tony and Jon invited him to climb aboard. Yes, they occasionally have to hear all about environmental sustainability and his bio-fueled VW, but it’s a small price to pay for a top-notch coder.
