Josh Hemsley, Designer
A native of Southern California, Josh couldn’t deal with the unbearable heat and even more unbearable traffic, so he fled to Oregon as soon as he was able to declare his independence from the parental units. After briefly considering careers in architecture, hotel management, the culinary world, and professional baseball, he was ultimately seduced by the siren song of the Internet (although he claims his lovely wife twisted his arm into going to design school). He is a true creative type, pulling inspiration from the strangest of places: old candy wrappers, junk mail ads, the bottom of a shoe, a homeless guy’s shirt, and even a wet napkin.
Josh is a self-proclaimed sports nut (Go, Oregon Ducks!). He played varsity baseball and basketball in high school, and these days, fueled by Rockstar Energy Drinks, he spends his spare time playing fantasy league baseball and football (since his real-world pro sports career didn’t pan out). He’s also addicted to Twitter and openly admits to being completely obsessed with competitive reality TV shows. In fact, he even designed the personal website of American Idol Season 9 contestant Andrew Garcia.
Josh is the proud father of the coolest red-headed kid on the planet, Nyla Breeze.
